Love Haiku 28:30
28
our love a sculpture
secluded in a garden
under ancient stars
29
time peels the casing
of our long-forgotten dreams
my heart holds them still
30
a remembered kiss
glows as a flame in the sky
embers at twilight

Wondrous words, poignant pictures.
I love the “ancient stars”. Puts things in perspective of eternity.
“wee, sleeket, cowran, tim’rous beastie”
(from Robert Burns “To a Mouse”) in reference to our insignificance under “ancient stars”.
And lovely to hear your reading of it.
Oh how I loved reading “To a Mouse” just now! Thank you for sharing that delightful first line of the poem! I love the way your relate the “ancient stars” to the little mouse and our insignificance as creatures on earth. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, Ellen!
Good poetry is not only written but spoken. Glad you added the audio for an additional dimension for your good work here, Dee. Thank you
Thank you so much, RJ! What a great saying. I haven’t thought of that aspect of poetry, but indeed, following Robert Frost, sound was a very important component of his writing. Come to think of it, this is so true with songs as well. Good songs are a combination of good lyrics and pleasant sounding music. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, RJ. Blessings!
