Come Back to the Garden
Come back to the garden
you have forgotten
after moments have passed
innumerable
as the evening stars —
behold:
the tear-drenched ebony loam
blossomed into clouds
of fragrant peonies,
fallen lilac petals
awakened
topaz and amethyst lilies —
Come back to the garden
you have forgotten
there you will find me
gathering the flowers.

your poem made me want to start planting flowers, however in Roanoke it is too early!
Thank you Carolyn! The moments pass so quickly, pretty soon the warmth will come for the planting. All my best wishes! Dee
So beautiful!
Thank you so much, Dawn!
Of course, its spring 🌹
Thank you for visiting and for your lovely comment, Aana!
