Love Haiku 4:6

Love Haiku 4:6

1

still the tender gaze
after a thousand winters
eternal springtime

2

i walk in twilight
the rain and wind pelt my face
your footsteps draw near

3

your love the fragrance,
scarlet blood upon the rose
life everlasting

Spring Song

Spring Song

suddenly daffodils,
tulip green lapels
under morning sunlight:

songbirds alight
leafless branches
bursting
with tender tree-buds —

can you hear the voice
of the turtle dove?

my heart pirouettes
with gladness
because the promise remains
unbroken:

morning joy comes
after nighttime
weeping

winter’s dark despair
once again
births a million
almond blossoms.

Love Haiku 1:3

Love Haiku 1:3

1

time of plum blossoms
you hold my hand as we stroll
fragrance fills the air

2

love letter arrives
so many moons I waited
bamboo leaves quiver

3

you cast a pebble
a ripple born in waters
drowns in blue ocean

Come Back to the Garden

Come Back to the Garden

Come back to the garden
you have forgotten
after moments have passed
innumerable
as the evening stars —

behold:
the tear-drenched ebony loam
blossomed into clouds
of fragrant peonies,
fallen lilac petals
awakened
topaz and amethyst lilies —

Come back to the garden
you have forgotten
there you will find me
gathering the flowers.
