Where Love Dwells
“And Jacob served seven years for Rachel: and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.” Genesis 29:20
Love dwells in eternal habitations,
where seasons form
as the dew from heaven
upon the grass —
In quiet abodes
where burdens are weightless
as scattered feathers
afloat
between the branches —
Where the waiting
is not waiting
and the silence is palpable
as the song
of apple blossoms.

Thank you so much, Karen! I am encouraged and gladdened that you like this poem! Blessings, Dee
Dee, there aren’t many times when I read something and am left without word (for a moment, without breath). This speaks to the things we know ~ that time is nothing and all that we know passes in a moment ~ and there we wake within the dream we dreamed. I love this!!!! I truly truly do! *sigh* I wish I had written it…….. ~ Love you, Bobbie
Dear Bobbie,
Perhaps one of the greatest compliments you could give me is that you wish you wrote this piece, for your poems are so beautifully and skillfully written. Thank you for your unique way of expounding upon the thought of the poem – that “after what we know passes, we awake within the dream we dreamed”. What a profound way to express it! Thank you again and again! Much Love, Dee
